A Quiet Holiday

Jill's Journal: The girls and I celebrated a different-for-us, quiet Easter today. Rob is in New Jersey yet again and Madelyn is on day #2 of a mild flu (thank you, aforementioned neighbor kid!). In spite of those minor annoyances, we have much to be grateful for on this sacred holiday. I hope you do too.

  1. We had a weirdish kind of Easter. My husband and brother decided it was a good day for a fish fry. So everyone went to my brother's house and Steve cooked up TONS of fish. Others brought the fixins' and thankfully it was a BEAUTIFUL day here so we hung outside most of the day. The kids had a blast.

I'm so sorry Madelyn is under the weather. Give her a kiss from the Sheridan's. (Well blow her one anyway!) Tell her to quit kissing the neighbor boy. (That's how she gets cooties!) =) I hope no one else gets sick!

    Happy Eater my friend.

  2. A fish fry! Well, no one can ever say Steve isn't original. :) Glad you had a great day. I remember spending a sweet Easter or two with you. :)

Thanks for the well wishes for Madelyn. Day #3 now and worse today! We may outlaw neighbor boys altogether! Poor thing.

  3. Poor little Madelyn!!

I remember you coming up to the farm with Erika as a baby for Easter when the girls were just tiny little things. I loved having you there. I've always loved having your time when we were together.

    I'm feeling nostalgic these days...

  5. Gretchen, me too, my friend, me too. I miss those days. They were so special and so fleeting.

Andrea, the girls are so looking forward to their Daddy returning. Me too. :)
