Jill's Journal: The desert girl in me still can’t quite believe fall comes to New England so early in the year. And in full force! It’s downright chilly. The girls “helped” me change out their clothes today. All shorts, tank-tops, t-shirts, and summer dresses (oh, how my oldest girls love dresses) were put away and out came the long pants and long sleeves. It’s not quite jacket weather yet during daylight hours, but it may be soon. I’ve got the girls’ coats ready. But that made me realize I don’t have a jacket! The one I had was big and bulky, too big and bulky for precious space in 400 square feet. I donated it before we moved. I think I’d better go shopping. And soon!
