-282 Feet

Jill's Journal: It’s amazing to think that just a week or two ago, we were at the base of Mt. Whitney, the highest point in the contiguous U.S., and today, we were at Badwater, the lowest point in North America. Even more amazing, the two spots are approximately 85 miles apart as the crow flies.

Badwater, at 282 feet below sea level, is in Death Valley National Park. In spite of the grim and forbidding name, we enjoyed a fantastic (and full) day in Death Valley today.

More tomorrow; we're tuckered out!
