Earthquake!

Jill's Journal: The girls got to experience their very first earthquake today, but they were so busy making friends with a little Chinese boy that they didn’t even notice. The quake was centered in Pacifica, the exact place in the San Francisco area we’re staying. Even though it was only a 3.7 on the Richter scale, when you’re at the epicenter, it still makes for a few pretty good jolts! Although it didn’t phase the girls, every adult around us got very excited. For the next hour or so while we ran errands, it was all anyone could talk about. The area was rattled enough that about 10,000 homes and businesses were without power for a few hours.
