88 Pounds of Books…

Jill's Journal: Our homeschooling supplies have arrived and been unpacked. Now to organize 88 pounds of books, a box of math manipulatives, and two boxes of science experiment supplies. That huge manual in the middle (at the top)? That’s my instructor’s guide for first grade. There’s another for preschool.

Am I daunted? Why yes, I am a little! But I’m sure we’ll figure it out as we go.

Jill, you will do great. The girls already love and respect you so it will be easier than a teacher trying to teach a class of 20. Plus, you will have the ability to spend a little more time with each one individually.

In addition, you've already been "teaching" your girls for years now. Look at how much stuff they've gotten to learn since you started your journey.

I look forward to the day when you start heading West.

Jill Anne Van! I cannot think of a single solitary mom on the planet who would make as terrific a homeschool mom as you will!!

Love,
Jennifer Diann

p.s. I'm not blowing sunshine, either...

I think you'll do great as well. It's funny, I always wanted to be teacher growing up, but I can't teach my child a thing "school" wise, because she won't sit still long enough. Your children are so well behaved they will flourish!

I would love to be a fly on the wall of my child's classroom to see what the teacher does differently, because I have no idea! LOL

I think you will do great!!! I'm excited for you!

Thanks, Miss Gretchen!! I spent a little bit of time helping in Erika's kindergarten classroom last year and that gave me so much insight and understanding. I'll bet Liz does great in school. I think official teachers are amazing (I'm just a hack)!
